Informed and engaged citizens enrich the planning process and lead to better outcomes.

Bend 2030 brings diverse stakeholders together to educate, engage and empower all members of the Bend community to have a voice in our city’s future.

Founded in 2005 by a group of dedicated community volunteers, Bend 2030 engaged one in seven residents  to create a vision for the future of our community. Click here to read the full Bend 2030 Vision. Now we work toward achieving that vision by tackling the city’s greatest challenges and opportunities.

As a nonprofit organization, our vision for Bend 2030 is to serve as the steward and champion of our community’s Vision, ensuring that the Vision remains vibrant, relevant and strategic by:

  • Convening the community periodically to revise and refresh the Vision.
  • Assembling diverse community stakeholders to advance initiatives and ideas grounded in the Vision.
  • Welcoming and engaging the community in a nonpartisan, inclusive manner to promote a healthy and livable city for all.

Our community education and citizen engagement efforts are designed to help government make choices and set priorities with a rich perspective on the wants and needs of the people it serves.
